Requirements

- Have a self-starter attitude with ability to hunt for project deals (both brownfield M&A and greenfield)

- Have existing good connections and relationships with pertinent private and public (state-owned) entities to facilitate and catalyse project leads and opportunities

- Possess strong rapport with the international and local energy business community in the target market which includes past interactions with developers, advisors and consultants (legal, financial, market, ESIA, technical, etc.)

- Fluency in English and the local language of the target market is compulsory

- Minimum 10 – 15 years working experience in gas / LNG-based power generation projects

- Managed to facilitate the deal closing of at least 3 – 4 relevant projects (at least Financial Closure status) with him / her assuming a lead role in the negotiation of commercial contracts (e.g. PPA, GSA, BOT, GGU, LLA, EPC, SHA, Financing Agreements, Long Term Service Agreements with OEMs, etc.)

What you will do

Description

The Country Head (in each of the target markets) is tasked to manage existing in-country operations and generate business leads by establishing tangible relationships with private and public stakeholders. He / She closely liaises with the Group Corporate Office in Singapore to provide key business updates and technical & financial KPIs.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Be responsible for the thought leadership, strategy and execution for the specific country’s business

- Deal with all aspects of the local business, including but not limited to BD deal origination, operations, supply chain management, fulfilment and oversee execution, support, and compliance functions while taking guidance from the Group Corporate Office in Singapore

- Work closely with the Group CEO, Head of Group BD and Head of Group Commercial and support and lead new business development, including presentation pitches, local negotiations, partner onboarding, and other activities as needed

- Take a strong lead and hands-on approach in business development and operations; determine optimal utilization of local staff and resources; improve the goals and accountabilities of the teams

- Enforce and enhance the platform brand in the local market; build strong enterprise, government, developers, business communities and media relations

- Source market data and research on trends, market conditions, competitors, and regulations and develop insightful strategies in response to emerging trends

- Be commercially minded with a hunter instinct, self-starter and driven, with an ability to build and foster relationships with a wide range of relevant key stakeholders (regulators, corporates, providers, payors, etc.)

- Be the de-facto face / key representative of the platform when fronting stakeholders in the domestic market

- Manage and report accurate budget, short term & long-term forecast and deal pipelines to the Group Corporate Office in Singapore

- Report timely and accurate financial and technical KPIs to Group Corporate Office in Singapore
