1. Mentor: Key Account Manager

The mentor will act as a coach during your employment period in company, and will assist you in overcoming any possible obstacles relating to the work, learning and social activities in the Department.

2. Training Programme

After some time in the position, you will have learned: 

Container trading business models.

Sales and marketing development to local & global customers.

Acquire operation and management trainings from Group.

Gain knowledge of Integrated Management System HSSE requirement.

Analytical skills in sales and marketing, sourcing and purchasing, inventory management and productivity, finance and accounting.

Specific Requirements for the Position:

At least 3 years working experiences in multi-national company on sales & marketing, international trading or business development. 

Understand the dynamic shipping and container industry.

Familiar with local and international import/export and trading markets. 

Degree holder or equivalent in any disciplines.

Self-motivated, aggressive, customer driven and proven ability to deliver results per ambitious targets.

Strong communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English as well as local language.

Proficiency in Microsoft Software.

What you will do

Report to: Key Account Manager – South East Asia.

Position Purpose:

Execute sales and marketing plans for the local container trading business development.

Grow profitable revenue on existing and prospective customers.

Coordinate and deliver the effective sales force.

Improve customers’ satisfaction consistently with our products and services.

General Areas of Responsibilities:

Assist Key Account Manager to meet TDG business plans as approved by the Board of Directors.

Support the sales & marketing strategies execution to achieve maximum market penetration, profit, and with pricing consistent with short and long term company objectives.

Develop local key account networks and services

Perform marketing and operational supports on all container trading activities.

Specific Areas of Responsibilities:

Develop and explore container trading market nationally.

Explore local market by meeting and visiting various potential customers to drive and secure new sales leads / opportunities.

Collect the first hand market intelligent as well as any local regulations changed and update Key Account Manager timely.

Plan, co-ordinate, and recommend to Key Account Manager on various sales strategies to achieve maximum market penetration & pricing consistent with short & long-term objectives.

Develop and recommend specific sales and marketing objectives and forecasts for products to be sold.

Develop and recommend pricing strategy based on evaluation of economic conditions and competition.

Execute authorised sales and marketing plans to achieve or exceed profit, volume and other objectives relating to container trading nationally.

Maintain favourable relations with all customers and explore local business networks.

Negotiate and coordinate with internal and external services providers to maximise sale profit and efficiency.  

Evaluate customer requests for specification modification or improvement, discuss and recommend action to Key Account Manager.

Assist Key Account Manager to resolve any local market concerns and operational issues.

Assist Key Account Manager to review complaints received from customers for the purpose of defining the actual problem, resolving the complaint, and determining where emphasis should be placed to prevent recurrence.

Prepare various weekly and monthly sales & marketing reports and follow up activities of ad hoc projects to management assigned by Key Account Manager.

Ensure compliance with local applicable laws and regulations and quality standards of our services.

Coordinate with customers to ensure account receivable collection to avoid aging.  

Any other duties, activities and projects assigned by Key Account Manager.
