As the CTO, you will be responsible for formulating the technical strategy of the Vietnam branch, building the technical team, resolving technical challenges, and introducing new technologies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in strategic discussions with the management team in Japan, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of our entire business. Not only will you manage the engineering team at the branch, but you will also robustly drive our development projects while fostering the integration of different cultures through language, playing a pivotal role in our global vision. Fluent Japanese skills are essential for communication in these various tasks.
▼Main Duties
Project Management and Implementation:

For new projects where requirements definition and basic design have been completed by the Japan headquarters, carry out detailed design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance operations (until the number of engineers increases).

Review source code and unit test specifications, conduct acceptance tests, and ensure quality.

Manage the progress of development tasks and provide timely and accurate reports to the Japan headquarters.

Resolve technical challenges and introduce new technologies.

Formulate and execute the technical vision of the Vietnam branch.

Set technical KPIs and strategize for their achievement.

Evaluate technical risks and devise countermeasures.
Interpretation and Translation Tasks:

Understand the specifications/design documents created by Japanese designers and

accurately translate them into Vietnamese.

Based on the translated specifications/design documents, provide clear instructions to the engineers at the Vietnam branch.

Accurately understand questions or consultation matters from Japanese designers and provide clear answers.
Communication and Collaboration:

Facilitate smooth meetings in Japanese with the management and development heads of the Japan headquarters.

Participate in strategic discussions with the Japanese management team.

Effectively manage assigned tasks within the branch and bridge operations between the two countries.
Management:

Organize and manage the technical team.

Address, organize, and resolve consultations or challenges raised by Vietnamese engineer members.
Human Resource Management:

Select, interview, educate, and evaluate engineering candidates for the Vietnam branch.

Manage general HR tasks such as attendance and personnel evaluations for the engineers in residence.
