JOB BRIEF
Mission: Production Manager ensures manufacturing processes run to meet quality, delivery with optimization cost.
Vision: Create a quality satisfaction to customer by controlling; improving operator skills throughout in production.
Strategy: Maximizing internal competence advantages of methods/ equipment by improving efficiency, controlling/ implement 5S, visual management of work to make work environment safety/ cost down/ elimination production waste to meet customer demand on quality; price; delivery.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Perform management and operation job, set up production procedure, manage all activities on production floor.
o Provide methods to prevent problems arising during production procedures, conduct problem analysis, error evaluation, problem solving, co-operate with relevant departments to implement countermeasure, follow problem solving clearly.
o Develop plan, set up goals for quality, efficiency, productivity, cost, human resources and reduce production costs as well as labor costs.
o Manage and direct the subordinate management team and workers in workshops; arrange manpower to meet the schedule; Set up training on skills; Review workers’ and technicians’ skills.
o Supervise and guide subordinates to implement 5S, Safety, fire prevention, daily environmental hygiene, planning for activities on annual basis, follow up and report on a regular basis.
o Prepare production plan and schedule, adjust the plan and schedule in accordance with monthly business requirements and timely delivery.
o Build a working environment professional, civilized, friendly and motivate employees to have good spirit and attitude.
o Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements. Request necessary resources timely to meet production demand.
o Production report and monitoring. Weekly and monthly report on production progress, output.
o Working closely with Quality department and Engineering department for launching of new project / product, solving technical or quality problems. Make sure related departments get well-informed about the needs of Production department to give timely support.
o Other responsibilities are assigned by management board (if any).
AUTHORITY
o Directly work with production supervisors and manage production lines; assign tasks to production department’s workers, technicians, engineers.
o Approve for absence of production staffs with paid leave below 02 days, as long as it does not affect production plan and product delivery schedule.
o Request necessary support of Engineering, Quality, HR or Warehouse departments to meet department’s requirements.
o Request necessary purchase of tools, machines or supplies to serve production lines with approval from senior management.
o Request necessary purchase within allowed budget limit allocated for the department.
