Based in Vietnam, this position will oversee and provide strategic leadership to teams performing crossfunctional activities, including but not limited to Product Development, Costing, Sourcing,
Commercialization, and Product Management in the non-China southeast Asian countries.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategy & Innovation:
• Formulate strategic vendor matrix, develop effective commercialization plan, set high-level
costing strategies, project high-level production needs, and allocate sourcing and production
across vendors to maximize productivity and minimize risk.
• Recommend best-in-class sourcing strategies and innovative programs for short term and longterm sourcing development.
• Provide clear direction and guidelines on vendor selection and price negotiation.
• Monitor Product Development to develop seasonal sourcing & production strategies, including
trend identification, color palette, concept, category, style, costing and pricing; balance key
items/fashion/basics; implement comprehensive costing and retail pricing framework to
maximize consumer value.
• Conduct regular review on business direction & planning, organization structure, and policy
development in all aspects to cope with changing business needs
Operations & Results:
• Understand South East Asia supply market to support sourcing strategy and new opportunities.
• Monitor Leadtime adherence, FOB target and improvement achievement and quality execution.
• Drive development of key initiatives to maximize margins, and minimize costs, including
commitments to raw materials and production space, and collaborating with factories on
conservation and efficiency.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure conformity with the company’s code of conduct.
• Facilitate analysis of ongoing operations and identify opportunities for incremental
improvement with ultimate goals of process streamline and efficiency enhancement.
Customers & Relationships:
• Oversee communication and follow-up with internal and external parties including customers,
suppliers, vendors and licensors, where applicable.
• Explore new suppliers and vendors by maintaining strategic relationships with all external
parties.
• Attend trade shows and industry events when required.
Leadership & Teams:
• Lead, train and motivate all functions in assigned Branded Team to implement key strategic
initiatives and revolve problems in collaborative and proactive manners.
• Contribute positively to team dynamic and culture.
• Attract, develop and retain talent; create appropriate succession plans. o Monitor and evaluate
performance of individuals and team.
