Skills required
  • Degree holder in Fashion Textile/Merchandising or related disciplines is preferable;
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in woven apparel industry with 3 years in Manager, preferably inUS fashion company, PLM system experience is a plus;
  • Familiar with US markets;
  • Strong product knowhow in denim, washes, woven & good understanding of factory process;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, supervising, presentation skills;
  • Able to work independently, responsible, self-motivated;
  • Excellent spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin;
  • Strong computer skills such as excel, PPT.
What you will do
  • Reporting to Senior Merchandising Manager. He/she will handle the trend research, market intelligence, sourcing, development, costing and production for Denim products in MENS &WOMENS;
  • Managing & follow up full product life cycle in all aspects of merchandising process from design & sample development, sourcing, costing negotiation, time & action calendar, order placement, production until delivery shipment;
  • Building ONE TEAM with US headquarters teams, on-shore & offshore vendors, & HK teams & intra-depts;
  • Managing vendor allocation & sourcing strategy to start with the right vendors from PD cycle;
  • Costing analysis in LFL, YTY & to negotiate best price with cost options for NYO to ensure attainment of the required target price & profit margin,& securing the products integrity and quality;
  • Ensuring the products quality from development to minimize potential risk for bulk production;
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with Vendors and Quality Assurance Department to ensure all issues relating to factory capacity, capability and credibility are addressed to deliver a high quality of product to uphold the Company & Brand image;
  • Supervising the teammates to maintain a high level of daily operation & efficiency;
  • Refining the SOP internally & externally to drive better efficiency;
  • Understanding the root cause of any production problems & providing the best solutions;
  • Coaching the subordinates to have mutual growth;
  • Supporting the supervisors for ad hoc projects;
  • Other duties as required from time to time to ensure overall effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of the brands.
