  • Control the design sample development products.   Work with patternmaker, sample technician and merchandiser to ensure samples are produced of high quality for customers and are suitable for the production line.
  • Be responsible for handling technical changes from customers
  • Ensure that sales samples are developed to meet the requirements of the sales person and in an acceptable time frame.
  • Manage the sample schedule, communicating with sales, merchandisers and NZ team to ensure everyone is aware of the output.
  • Ensure samples are made in the best method for factory production.
  • Give advice to pattern maker and marker maker if there are problems with fabric eg. Shading or other special detail of fabric.
  • Confirm with IE the breakdown for new garments
  • Study and confirm specs/samples/trim cards before production.  Remedy any problems before production.
  • Conduct PP meeting with Production Team, include sub-contractors.
  • Give clear instruction and training to team technique team and line leaders for foreseen problems with new styles including Sub- Contractors.
  • Confirm the task time for each operation.  (Work with IE or sample technician)
  • Work with Mechanic to prepare tools and machine before production.
  • Confirm machine layout with IE or Production Manager and make any adjustments depending on the ability of worker of each line.
  • Ensure pattern markers and templates are ready as Production Plan
  • Work with technician team to implement the IE breakdown and methods.
  • Support line leader and technician the best way to handle difficult operation
  • Record all problems/issues faced during development sample. This will enable improvement of the styles for repeat orders or making of similar styles
