The Government just issued Decree No. 38/2022/NĐ-CP on 12 June 2022 regulating minimum regional salary for the Employee working under a labor contract. The Decree come into effect from 01 July 2022. Besides the monthly minimum salary, it is the first time the hourly minimum salary has been regulated in the Decree. Furthermore, the stipulation on “the trained Employee should get salary with 7% higher than the regional minimum salary” no longer exists in the Decree.
Pursuant to the Decree, from 01 July 2022, minimum regional salary per month and per hour as well as maximum monthly salary subject to Unemployment Insurance (UI) shall be as follows:
