10+ years experience of which at least 5 years in a leadership position (Manager / Executive) in IT Software development.

Excellent in English.

Experience working in global or foreign companies in a managerial position.

Must be able to perform under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.

Excellent time management skills; well versed in coordinating technical processes to ensure timely completion of projects.

As our Operations Director you are responsible for achieving targets and managing the teams. You make sure that the team has the resources, structure and leadership to perform and as a team meet the business goals. We grew 200% in 2021 and we want to repeat this growth in the coming year and therefore we need an Operations Director to help realise the targeted growth. 

Key responsibilities and activities

Responsible for achieving the operational targets for performance and growth for the Vietnam location. As Operational Director you define the KPIs, budgets and planning in alignment with the General Manager in Vietnam and the COO in The Netherlands to achieve the business goals. These KPIs should measure and continue to achieve the business goals. 

Responsible for day-to-day management of the teams in the Vietnam location, totalling 55 FTE today. Working with the entire development team, from developers to technical leads and project manager, managing the workload and ensuring that all employees have the resources they need to meet the requirements outlined for each project.

Together with other senior leaders, executes multiple high-impact (change) initiatives to achieve overall organizational growth goals according to the business plan. 

Developing and implementing plans to improve the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and personnel in alignment with the objectives of our organization.

Responsible for the regular and ongoing planning and measurement of all delivery and development activities covering the capacity and the resource planning. 

Keeps the management team in Vietnam and Amsterdam fully informed in a timely and transparent way of the performance of the day-to-day operations.

Responsible for coaching and training of team leads with a focus on managerial and operational capabilities. Making sure the employees are motivated and equipped to focus on high quality work contributing to the customer satisfaction, put in their best effort to improve their level of performance and enjoy their work. 

When required, work with outsourcing companies or external clients to build and maintain good working relationships with clients.

Liaise with HR department in recruiting process, onboarding, resources development and retention.

Liaise with team leads to conduct bi-annual staff appraisals and assessments to determine staff training needs and resources planning.
