Job Requirements:

Degree in Engineering (having the basic knowledge of fluid dynamics and mechanical engineering is preferable)

Plenty of years of experience (Based upon position) in engineering with EPC / EPCM contractors or Operation & Maintenance in the Power Plant Preferable Supercritical Thermal Power Plants

Proficient in MS Office Applications and AutoCAD Applications

Results oriented individual with robust technical abilities and capable to work under tight deadlines

Able to work independently and in a team to achieve departmental goal of lean production

Able to keep good relationship with all personnel at site and people in the living area

What you will do

Job Description:

To undertake testing and commissioning of the following major mechanical equipment`s but not limited to:

Steam Turbine

Auxiliary equipment of turbine cycle such as condenser, pumps, fans, tanks, etc.

Testing of equipment including Heat Run, Function Test, and overall testing of the plant

To monitor the operation of equipment with the permanent/handy instrument and make reports as per the instruction

To operate the valves under the operator`s instruction

To Report timely in case the emergency or unexpected situation is found

To understand the risk/danger when the rotating equipment is in operation

To understand the P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams and Logic Diagrams in advance to the commissioning

Isolation work of mechanical relating PTW

Preparation of documents and certification of site work execution

Skilled to test and commissioning of Rotating Equipment and turbine cycle 

Commissioning activities with other commissioning groups (Electrical, Generator,C&I, and Switchyard, etc.)

Coordination with other groups such as erection group, other Lots, and customer, etc.

To ensure the safe Testing and Commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary plant milestones in accordance with the project schedule requirements

Assist in the assessment of commissioning costs, maintenance cost, and safety studies

To prepare and produce all testing and commissioning documentation, if required prepare the Method Statements and Commissioning procedures

To schedule, coordinate and execute testing and full life cycle of onsite commissioning activities with tight deadlines and in line with the specified equipment requirements

Monitoring progress and recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation as per approved ITPs

To possess a good communication skills and have to liaise with the other consortium members and also deal with the Owner and its Owners Consulting team

Troubleshooting, countermeasures and providing advice on operational procedures, schematic and drawings

To schedule and supervise operational review with operational and engineering staff. And also to give OJT (On Job Training) to Owner Team as and when required

Perform other administrative or engineering duties as assigned

Working hours: regular office hours with occasional long day and some weekends depending on project deadlines
