Skills required

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Thorough understanding of the agricultural equipment industry and its potential in Cambodia; Understanding of cropping pattern and seasons is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills ~ Excellent spoken and written English
  • Result and deadline‐oriented; persistent with a keen ability to follow‐up on pipeline orders
  • Team building and management – treat all people with respect and dignity
  • Basic commercial knowledge of equipment sales
  • Extensive travel to provinces
  • Computer literacy a must, with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (skills may be tested at the interview)

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate / Bachelors degree in any stream with English as the formal language
  • 6+ years of experience in machinery sales in Vietnam
  • Showroom / dealer management experience will be an added advantage

VERTICAL ~ Distribution; BUSINESS ~ Auto & Allied, Farm Machinery

LOCATION ~ HCMC / Can Tho, Vietnam

JOB TITLE ~ Manager – Information and Sales

SUMMARY OF POSITION ~ Manage end‐to‐end sales of agri‐equipment by engaging with institutional and walk‐in customers; Manage dealer relationships through a team of Field Officers; Maintain inventory at desirable levels

JOB DUTIES

Information Management

  • Map potential of major provinces with regards to farm machinery
  • Periodic competition check on prices, new products, specifications 

​Sales

  • Identify and engage with large institutional buyers of farm machinery
  • Prepare sales pipeline and business reports
  • Solicit orders on phone / in person
  • Recommend changes in customer use to improve productivity
  • Draft quotations for individual and institutional sales
  • Assist walk‐in customers at the showroom in absence of sales / field officers
  • Demonstrate use of farm machinery at showrooms, dealers, customer sites
  • Team / Relationship Management
  • Recruit / Manage a team of Field Officers for dealer / end‐user sales in provinces
  • Manage dealer relationships through team of sales / field officers

Supply Chain / Order Placement

  • Initiate shipment for end‐users and dealer transfers
  • Place orders with principal in India / HK depending on stock positions
  • Maintain desirable levels of inventory at warehouse and dealers
