Skills required

Experience Requirement:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain managerial function;
  • Knowledge in Scala or similar ERP system is an advantage.

Knowledge:

  • Managerial and leadership training;
  • Inventory management training;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Computer literate

Educational Requirement:

  • Diploma holder in Business Administration or related course    
  • A degree in business, finance, industrial engineering or supply chain management is relevant to this position

What you will do

Mission

To ensure adequate delivery service to support the sales and after sales service:

  • Maintaining a stock level in accordance with the established inventory target;
  • Managing the department to fulfill other departments requirements related to supply and exercise functional control;

Job description

Supervision and controlling all logistics and warehouse departmental functions.

  • Training of Staff;
  • Controlling minimum stock level of parts, machines and optimizing   serviceability ratio;
  • Planning of inventories, propose changes of standard stock for complete machines and parts;
  • Identify excess stock of machines and spares, and initiates or takes appropriate actions, such as special sales efforts, scrapping or return to respective factory;
  • Develops and recommends appropriate instructions and working procedures for administration of the supply functions;
  • Ensure the company’s stock is properly protected and physical Stock-take is made in strict adherence to the instructions;
  • Ensure adequate and proper warehousing facilities are available for efficient material handling, storage and packaging;
  • Control quality and orderliness of stock kept in warehouse;
  • Ensure all orders received are correctly processed and invoiced;
  • Ensure timely receipt and delivery of goods against customer’s order;
  • Maintain standard cost price records in SCALA;
  • Follow up payment of indent customer account for advance payment.
  • Ensures proper documentation of purchases, duty payments, VAT and other taxes.
  • Ensures prompt and accurate reporting of relevant information to management and the sales teams to ensure appropriate decision making.
  • Ensure target delivery dates are met so that products are available when needed.  Avoid overstocking to preserve working capital and to minimize exposure to pricing movements.
  • To produce required reports, data, and analyses as needed.
  • Organizes and executes special projects.
